Think about those times in your life when you have felt inspired to something really great. Where does that inspiration come from?
The Holy Spirit. God inspires us to do great things with our lives.

Five Minute Friday: Longing

Five Minute Friday is a weekly link-up hosted by Kate. She provides a word, and I write for 5 minutes. No editing, no deep thinking...just spur of the moment, whatever pops in my head writing. This week's prompt: Longing.

As I write, I have this earworm: There is a longing in our hearts, O Lord, for you to reveal yourself to us.
Lent is just around the corner as I write this, and I'm both looking forward to it and not looking forward to it. I love Lent; we're coming out of the darkness and coldness of winter, and stepping into flowers blooming, trees growing back their leaves, more sunshine, and warmer weather. I love the spiritual aspect of Lent: trying to understand the mystery that is Our Lord's Passion and what He really did for me. That is a hard thing to grasp, that He did that for ME. I began Lent last year on a pilgrimage to the Painted Churches of Texas and received so many graces from that trip. This year, I will be staying home and participating in a couple of Lenten studies, both online and in person. There is so much to learn about my Faith, and just what He did for me. Not only that, but also how I can respond to this mercy He has bestowed on me. The graces He gives me every.single.day. And how do I respond?

Well, five minutes go by awfully quick! I'll leave it with that question and will think about that. I have to link the YouTube video of the song I mentioned above:
